Marivi Gonzalez is an independent photographer and graphic designer who lives and works in Panama, Republic of Panama.

In 1994 she received her BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design under the tutelage of professors Malcolm Grear and Paul Rand. In 2008 she pursued studies in photography from The School of Visual Arts and The International Center for Photography in New York City, NY.

After working with Stephanie Tevonian Design and Jim Cotton Communications in New York, NY, BB&M/Boyd, Barcenas (Panama) and as a freelance graphic designer, she founded Design MG (DMG) in 1996, working with local and international clients.

Marivi served as the Expert Portfolio Reviewer at the 2006 HOW Design Conference. Her logos have been published in LogoLounge Volumes 2 and 3 and have won honorable mention in the HOW Magazine Self-Promotion Contest. She also participated in the first exhibition of Graphic Design in Panama, Panama Grafico 2006 and 2009. Her work will be featured in the fall 2009 LogoLounge Master Library Initials and Crests.

As a photographer, she works primarily on self-initiated projects with the objective of exhibition and publication.
